For those of you that like to speak big big grammar or probably u find yourself competing with the likes of our own Mr Patrick Obahiagbon , Pastor Chris Okotie . Well below are few words from the dictionary you may like to add to your vocabulary list.
1. Floccinaucinihilipilification
With its origins around 1741, this lengthy word is the result of four Latin words combined, signifying "at a small price" or "for nothing." This word can be used to describe all those things you don't use anymore. Take a peek at all those old Pokemon cards in your closet, and don't tell me they aren't one big floccinaucinihilipilification. This is one long word that basically means
2.Frankenfood
Noun: "genetically modified food"This word, originally spawned in the 1990s, is used to describe all of the "fake" foods that exist today. From fruits pumped with steroids to hot dogs full of mystery meat, we have all seen and eaten examples of frankenfood. These monsters of the food community have become so numerous that we needed a word to describe them.
3.Acnestis
Why in the world do we need a word so specific as to describe that one small stretch of the body that we cannot reach to scratch? Isn't that just called your back? This word may not have made it into every dictionary, but the fact that there are so many listings for it is astounding.
4.Qualtagh
If you're lucky, maybe your next qualtagh will be love at first sight!
5.Tarantism
Used as early as 1656, this condition was apparently a huge problem in olden times. This ailment would probably be classified into something along the lines of ADHD, today; but we'd much rather say we have Tarantism!
6.Boufage
I don't know about you, but I'm not going to be that guy who says, "This was no ordinary supper; it was a boufage."
7.Abacinate
Yes, abacination was apparently an actual form of corporal punishment at one time, but are there other forms of blinding that would be confused with this one so that it needs its own word? We just call them like we see them.
8.Nidorosity
This gross word has been removed by a lot of dictionary publishers; but if you really want classify all of your bodily actions as descriptively as possible, this might be a word to add to your vocabulary.
