The Truth about Eggs

Eggs are one of the most nutritious foods on earth. Its just unfortunate that most people are not too concerned about the cholesterol intake and their risk to heart disease.

A single medium sized egg contains 186mg of cholesterol, all of which is found in the yolk.
If you eat an egg on a given day, it's important to limit other sources of cholesterol for the rest of that day. Consider substituting  vegetables for meat, or avoid high-fat dairy products for that day.Surprisingly, it turns out that the more you eat cholesterol, the less your body produces cholesterol.(the liver actually produces cholesterol.)
If you like eggs but don't want the extra cholesterol, eat only the white part of the egg . It contains no cholesterol. Its important to know your risk for heart disease. If you're at risk, you're better off eating fewer yolks. If you're not at risk, you should still be sensible about cholesterol intake, especially when there are so many healthy food choices available.
So many people have been advised to limit their consumption of eggs, or at least of egg yolks (the white is mostly protein and is low in cholesterol).
Common recommendations is maximum of 2-6 yolks per week.

Please watch your cholesterol intake . Have a Low-Cholesterol intake week!
